Decoration of the Red Book: discovery of a rare flower in a Ukrainian national park

On the territory of the Tuzlovsky Estuaries National Natural Park, a yellow poppy flower, a rare herbaceous plant from the poppy family, was discovered. Details of this discovery were reported by ecologist Ivan Rusev on Facebook.

Unique yellow poppy: beauty, conservation and environmental challenges

The plant grows on the coastal strip along the shores of the Black Sea and estuaries and attracts attention with its beauty and unusualness. The yellow poppy is found only in two areas of the bay-bars, where there is no impact of human activity. This species is strictly protected.

The ecologist pointed out that the plant's numbers are limited by its strict specialization and narrow range of environmental conditions, as well as low seed germination. In addition, the processes of strengthening the banks, the load from recreation and the collection of medicinal raw materials have a negative impact. To preserve this flower and its reproduction, the ecologist considers it advisable to create new protected areas in the coastal zones of the seas, including the unique bay-bars of the Sasyk and Dzhantsheyskaya estuaries.

In addition, the yellow poppy attracts attention with its beauty and decorative qualities. Its bright flowers create a real range of colors, especially in contrast with the sky background of the Ukrainian Black Sea region, making this place even more attractive and unique.
